A Look Forward at February Events!
February is already here. Are you keeping up with your New Year's resolutions? We had a couple of good snow storms this month and our Ski Resorts are prospering. Let's pray for more snow!! If you're planning on spending some time in South Lake Tahoe this month, there will be a lot of options for entertainment. We've hand-picked some of our favorite events happening here on the South Shore this month just for you. Take a look below!
Wednesday Wine Appreciation Course at the Idle Hour Wine + Bubbly Bar

Calling all wine enthusiasts! From grape to glass, learn more about some of your favorite wineries & their specialty wines. Classes will be offered every Wednesday begining at 5:00 pm & registration is required. Call (530) 600-3304 to reserve your spot.
The Idle Hour brings together wine tasting, an eclectic small bites menu, retail items and an event space, all in a gorgeous Tahoe lakefront wine bar and venue. Visitors and locals looking for a one-of-a-kind location to relax and enjoy an array of boutique wines while soaking up the South Lake Tahoe lakefront will delight in the view from the expansive deck.
Pray for Snow Party at McP’s Taphouse

Snowshoe Cocktail Races at the Beacon Bar & Grill
When: 02/15 from 5pm to 7pm
Where: Beacon Bar & Grill at Camp Richardson
The triple crown of Lake Tahoe winter events, Camp Richardson’s Snowshoe cocktail races return for another round of hilarity and sport. Other destinations have races, but nothing comes close to this three-part race series held on the beach in front of the Beacon Bar and Grill. This annual tradition is free and tests participants’ balance, speed, and agility.
Racers, cocktail trays in hand, navigate through obstacles, and up and down the beach. The winner is the fastest and driest at the finish. Spill your drinks and you lose. For their efforts, competitors can win prizes that range from snowshoes and dining certificates to equipment and marina rentals. Registration is free for multiple race categories.

Fans who discovered Jonny Lang through his searing instrumental work will revel in the huge guitar tones and go for broke solos on Signs, while those who have appreciated his growth as an honest and passionate songwriter will find that honesty and passion unabated. Though he long ago left blues purism behind, Lang has never abandoned its spirit of universal catharsis through the relating of personal trials. Signs reaffirms his commitment to the blues and the guitar without sacrificing the modern approach that has made him such a singular artist.

With his independent spirit guiding his journey Buddz has toured the world. He's constantly creating new music and experimenting with it in front of live audiences almost immediately. He's honed his craft while in support of several tours with artists such as Cypress Hill, Rebelution and Matisyahu. He's performed in front of thousands at the largest music festivals such as Lollapalooza, Boomtown, Summer Jam and the California Roots Festival.
Fresh Tracks 5K Snowshoe Walk & Race
When: 02/23 at 10am
Where: Historic Camp Richardson Resort
The Tahoe Mountain Milers Running Club is hosting the "Fresh Tracks" 5K Snowshoe Walk and Race on Sunday, February 23 at 10 am at beautiful Historic Camp Richardson Resort. The Event benefits Metastatic Breast Cancer (Metavivor).
If you have never experienced snowshoeing, this is your chance! If you can walk, you can snowshoe! You don't have to race, just have FUN!
Early pre-registration by February 8 is only $25 and includes Swag, post-race refreshments and continued day-use of groomed Camp Richardson trails.
