June Events

June in Tahoe means days at the beach and sunset cocktails, and of course plenty of "Summery" events to look forward to! So grab your flip flops and sunscreen, because we've highlighted just a few of this month's best events coming to the South Shore below!

Annual Hwy 50 Wagon Train
When: 6/2-6/9
Where: Highway 50, Lake Tahoe 
What: Riding for only a day, or for the whole trip, the wonders of this great land are truly appreciated as one travels down the road at an average speed of three miles per hour! Evening campfires, storytelling, and low key entertainment round out the experience. Families are welcome!

Valhalla Renaissance Faire
When: 6/2-6/3, 6/9-6/10
Where: Camp Richardson Resort 
What: The sights, sounds, tastes and beauty of the 16th Century return to South Lake Tahoe's Camp Richardson with the 25th celebration of Valhalla Renaissance Faire, to be held June 2-3 & 9-10 2018 at Camp Richardson.

National Trails Day with Tahoe Rim Trail Association

Where: Van Sickle Bi-State Park
What: As a part of National Trails Day, the Sugar Pine Foundation and the TRTA are teaming up for a morning of education and fun in South Lake Tahoe’s Van Sickle Bi-State Park. On this scenic hike, you’ll enjoy panoramic vistas with a brief visit to a waterfall. We’ll delve into the intriguing natural and human history of the area, discuss forest topics related to the trail we’re passing through, and see firsthand the impacts of a wildfire burn zone. If you enjoy learning and basking in the stellar views of the jewel of the Sierra, join us!

Tahoe Brewfest: Brews, Bites, and South Lake Tahoe Vibes

Where: Heavenly California Lodge Base Area
What: Tahoe Brewfest is proud to welcome beer lovers from all over the world to South Lake Tahoe, We’re inviting locals and out-of-town guests to enjoy a beautiful day of brew together. So please, come for the beer; come for the food; come for the fun. Soak in the Tahoe scenery and, if you can take the chill, soak in the lake itself. Open to all ages, this clean, family-friendly festival serves up craft beers and a full spread of fresh bites from the area. Filled to the brim with enthusiasm and positivity, the Tahoe Brewfest has that “glass-half-full” vibe (but always with a full glass).

Slightly Stoopid at Harveys Outdoor Arena
When: 6/16
Where: Harvey's Outdoor Arena
What: Popular Southern California-based band Slightly Stoopid returns to kick-off the 2018 Lake Tahoe Summer Concert Series at Harveys Outdoor Arena on Saturday, June 16, 2018 with the School's Out for Summer Tour. This will be their fifth outing at the award-winning summer concert venue. The band, who describe themselves as “a fusion of folk, rock, reggae and blues with hip-hop, funk, metal and punk,” bring along popular support acts Stick Figure and Pepper.

Live at Lakeview Summer Concert Series 
When: 6/21
Where: Lakeview Commons
What: Live at Lakeview is a free weekly concert series hosted at Lakeview Commons, in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. Every Thursday (June 21-August 30) the event hosts live music and art on the beach, along with a variety of local merchants and delicious food options plus amphitheater-style seating and breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe from the beer garden. Proceeds from the beer garden will continue to support South Tahoe BMX Association.

Robert Plant & Sensational Space Shifters
When: 6/23
Where: Harvey's Outdoor Arena
What: Though Robert Plant has returned to the Welsh borders, he retains the sensibility—and the soul—of an itinerant troubadour. His diverse musical points of reference stand out like pins on a map, from Austin, Texas to Timbuktu, Mali. Plant treasures transience.
