April Events

April in Tahoe means warm temperatures and Spring skiing! With the snow melting and temps warming up, there's no shortage of fun events in the Basin this month! So grab your flip flops and sunscreen, as we can assure you that this month's array of events will NOT disappoint!

Sports Car Club of America Racing Event
When: 4/7-4/8
Where: Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, South Lake Tahoe
What: Enjoy car racing while enjoying Tahoe's great spring weather. Outside bar available 21+. Free to race viewers!

Olympic Athletes Homecoming Party! 
When: 4/7
Where: Sierra-at-Tahoe, Twin Bridges CA 
What: Jamie Anderson, Maddie Bowman, Hannah Teter and Kyle Smaine had undeniable success in the competitive year including bringing home Olympic Gold and Silver medals, World Championship titles and X Games Gold. The celebration will take place on the Solstice Plaza at Sierra’s base area and will include autograph signing, speeches by local dignitaries, a silent auction with proceeds going to Protect Our Winters and Jamie Anderson Foundation.
Autographs will be available on the Solstice Plaza from 11:30-12p.m.

Marshall Tucker Band

Where: Harrahs Casino, Stateline NV
What: Get ready for The Marshall Tucker Band in the South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe 7:30 pm, on Saturday, April 14th! Since forming over 40 years ago, the band has sold millions of albums, toured the world, and released huge hits like "Heard It In a Love Song," "Fire On The Mountain," "Can't You See," and "Take The Highway."

Buckle-Up for Big Air Event 
When: 4/15
Where: Sierra-at-Tahoe, Twin Bridges CA
What: Sunday, April 15, 2018, Buckle Up Big Air is a slopestyle jam for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities. The event is held in remembrance of Sierra team rider, Greg Taylor Smith. The event is held annually to honor Greg's memory with a fun day on the slopes, his favorite place to be. This locals favorite event not only spreads great energy but also raises awareness about seatbelt safety and the importance of buckling up when in the car.
